Upton Cross Primary School is based in Upton Park with over 900 pupils across two sites. When the current school expansion is complete in September 2018, the school will have nearly 1200 pupils. The school was judged Outstanding in all areas by OfSTED in 2013 and 2008 and has a track record of high pupil attainment and progress.
We firmly believe that all children should get a chance at a quality education. We are committed to raising standards for children in all areas of school life, enabling all pupils to achieve their best in a challenging, creative, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
We formally joined the Trust in September 2014, and the partnership helps us to reflect on our existing practices and gain support, challenge and advice in developing our provision further.
Nick Turvey, our Head Teacher, is a National Leader of Education and has also supported the improvement of a number of local schools as well as overseeing the sustainable expansion of Upton Cross to almost double its original size. He believes that -
“Since joining the Trust, staff at many levels have made positive links with colleagues at the other schools. These links are providing us with many opportunities to work collaboratively to share practice, learn from and support each other in solving the challenges faced by all schools. This partnership can only be positive for children, families and staff across the Trust.”
